Christmas shopping in November…

Now, for most people shopping for Christmas presents on November 18th is nothing new but as for me; the queen of Christmas Eve gift buying; I am surprised to say that about half of my Christmas shopping is done. Unfortunately, I can’t show you any of the snazzy presents I bought because the people that read this will be getting them…although…I can show you what I bought for my Grandmother since I don’t believe she has ever ventured onto the Internet before. It made me think of her and my Mom when I saw it.

I should have taken a closer picture of this. The detail is amazing. I'll add some to Flickr later.

Before our shopping began Shanta wanted to buy a flower for the dinning table in their apartment; so we picked this one…

I think it’s an Amaryllis flower…or at least that’s what Shanta thought the fellow said in the shop. I tried comparing it to the picture on my Aunt's book, Forcing Amaryllis but still wasn’t too sure; even Google pics wasn’t too helpful. But we thought it was gorgeous.

After all the shopping my tootsies were angry with me and I was pooped. Marc and Shanta headed off to see an all male version of Swan Lake in their Sunday best…

And I headed home. T’was a fun day. I hope everyone else at home is having some fun days. I’ll see you all soon.

Hi Maya!

Yep, that's definitely an amaryllis flower.

You're way ahead of me on Christmas shopping. (I haven't even done the Thanksgiving shopping yet!)

Hope you have a good Parisien style Thanksgiving. Calf's head? Chestnut stuffing?

Can't wait to see you!
