First Day off of the Last Session

Well, I’m at the home stretch. One more week and camp will be over. Having this group of kids is definitely a great way to end the session. They are a surprising good bunch. Yesterday was my first day off for this session and it was SPLENDID! One of the Daily Life Counselors Minnie (Malvina) invited me over to stay at her house in Grenoble. I was very excited to get away from camp for a while.

It was nice being in a home. Her Mom was really sweet and made us breakfast in the morning and gave us a ride into town. We took the little tour bus dealie around town…

And then took what they call a “cable car” up to the mountains.

We walked around the Mountains for a bit and then decided to take a look at the caves which were created during war so that the soldiers could move around without being noticed.

We eventually made our way back down the mountain, took a train back to meet Malvina’s Mom and headed home. I was pretty exhausted after that trek down the mountain so I passed out until dinner time. We had homemade Spaghetti’s for din din and then it was back to camp for us. It was great just getting away from camp for a while.
